Retaining Wall

Insulbricks are layed directly onto the strip footing or concrete slab. Unlike Brick Veneer walls that require a rebated edge, insulbricks only require a square edge. This saves both time and money. The setting out of the insulbrick walls is easy.
1. Use an insulbrick to mark the location of the wall.
2. Snap a chalk line to establish the line of the wall.
3. You can anchor a temporary plate to the foundation to be used as a firm outline of the wall- this plate can be used for your top plate later.
4. The timber should be anchored wherever your insulbrick walls are to be constructed.
5. The first two courses are then interlocked and simply pushed against the timber line to ensure they are straight. You don’t need to be strong for insulbrick construction.
6. Insulbricks are easily cut to create angles. They sit directly onto the slab.
