There are many external finishes available.
Render: There are many rendering products appropriate for applying to polystyrene. The colour is generally incorporated in the final coat eliminating any need to ever have to paint. The final coat can also be applied with a number of different textures. Cracking seen on other rendered building systems is not a symptom of the insulbrick system. There is no stud frame to move and the insulation around the concrete core ensures that there is no movement resulting from temperature fluctuations- therefore no pressure on the render to crack. |

Stone finished: There are an enormous amount of artificial and real stone finishes available.
Other finishes: Almost any external finish is possible. Battens can be fixed to the polystyrene and weatherboards attached. Similarly corrugated iron can be fixed.
Whatever your desired finish- you can achieve it with all the associated benefits of insulbrick construction. |
